The Mie Prefectural Art Museum
The Mie Prefectural Museum of Art opened in Tsu, Mie Prefecture, Japan, in 1982. The collection has a special emphasis on yōga.The museum focuses on three main types of art: (1) Art from the Edo period and further artists. (2) Paintings from the Meiji period showing the development of contemporary oil paintings in Japan, or paintings by foreign artists. (3) Sketches, research, watercolors and other documents that give an idea of the creative endeavors of certain key artists
