The Mining Museum

The beginning of the Museum was the educational mineral Cabinet, which was assembled for students to study rocks, minerals, ores, mining and metallurgical processes In 1791.thanks to the care and patronage of the Russian Emperors, the initiative of the heads and professors of the University to constantly expand the exhibition space and replenish the Museum collection with unique and valuable collections, the Cabinet received the status of a Museum.
