The Northern Museum
The Northern Museum is a museum of Swedish culture and ethnography located on Djurgården Island in Stockholm.
The initiator of the creation of the museum was the cultural expert Arthur Hazelius (1833-1901). The magnificent museum building was built until 1907 on the model of the Danish castle Frederiksborg; in its main hall there is a huge statue of King Gustav Vasa, who restored Swedish statehood.
