The Omishima Museum of Art
Shimanami Kaido Bridge connects the beautiful islands of Setuchi and connects Honshu and Shikoku. It opened in July 1986 as a museum of modern Japanese painting in Omisimi, which is located almost in the center. Along with the Oyama Shrine, which is famous for its national treasury and armor, this museum has an impressive white wall and neat beauty. The walls of the hall are covered with Japanese paper, creating a soft and calm space.
Since its opening, the Omisima Museum has aimed to grow with Japanese painters. Most of the collections are works by artists born after the 15th Show. Simultaneously with the release of these collections, we also hold special exhibitions that take advantage of interaction with artists.
