The Urayasu Local Museum

The Urayasu City National Museum is a "museum open to all" with the motto of citizen participation. The museum collects a variety of information about Urayasu.The museum mascot-character "Asari-kun" was born in 2002 at the public invitation of citizens.A cute character who combines the traditional style of Urayasu, which used to be a fishing town, with a boat-shuttle, twisted rice balls and shellfish, a feature of Urayasu.
