The museum is a branch of the All-Russian Historical and Ethnographic Museum. The following expositions are presented: "The History of the Borisoglebsky Monastery", telling about the history of one of the most ancient monasteries of Russia; "The genius of taste N. A Lvov ", telling about the life and work of an outstanding figure of Russian culture of the 2nd half of the 18th century, N.A. Lvov, a native of Novotorzhskaya land; "The holy, cast, old image" representing works of copper casting - a little-studied area of Russian religious art; "The town you will never see" is the atmosphere of the patriarchal county town, which was Torzhok at the end of the XIX –– the beginning of the XX-th centuries.
