THE SUIBOKU MUSEUM, TOYAMA
The Toyama Ink Museum was opened in 1999 as a museum that mainly presents painting with paints from modern times in Japan. The word "ink paint", which is used in the name of the museum, is not limited to paint, but has a broad meaning of Japanese beauty. The permanent exhibition room features works by contemporary artists such as Sukho Takeuchi, Taikan Yokoyama and Harukas Hishida, as well as painters closely associated with Toyama Prefecture, such as Akira Shimoyasu, Takashi Shizhin and Tome Iwasaki.
