UFMG Museum of Natural History and Botanical Garden
The Museum of Natural History and Botanical Garden of UFMG (MHNJB / UFMG) is installed in an area of approximately 600,000 m², has diversified vegetation and typical of the Atlantic Forest, which includes, in addition to native species, exotic species.
The Museum has a collection formed by approximately 265,664 items between preserved and alive scientific pieces and specimens (scientific collection of plants and vegetal reserve) and contextualized in the areas of Archeology, Paleontology, Geology, Botany, Zoology, Historical Cartography, Ethnography, Popular Art and Bibliographic and Archival Documentation.
