The Velikiy Novgorod Museum of Fine Arts
The main part of the museum collection was formed in 1920-1930 from the private noble estates, the State Russian Museum and the Russian Museum Fund. The collection of works of art includes paintings by D. Levitsky, V. Borovikovsky, F. Rokotov, K. Bryullov, V. Tropinin, I. Repin, I. Aivazovsky, etc. Among the remarkable examples of the museum’s sculpture are works by M. Antokolsky, F. Shubin, M. Vrubel, P. Trubetskoy.
