Nobody embodies «Tempo 30» as perfectly as the Velosolex. Slowness was invented in 1940 and of course this did not happen quickly. It is a symbol of the French way of life, like baguette, gauloise and the old duck. Velosolex was the favorite vehicle of intellectuals and pastors of the country and has rolled off the assembly line in France since the end of the war in eight million copies. In 1988, production was discontinued under the competitive pressure of Japanese motorcycle manufacturers.
Over thirty copies are presented in the Velosolex Museum. On a tour of the collection with its owners, there are many interesting things to admire and hear.
