YEBO CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY

“Yebo was established in 2010 by local artists Pete, Aleta & Dane Armstrong.   The goal was to set up a contemporary art gallery that showcased the best of art and design in Eswatini while breaking away from old-fashioned stereotypes of African art.   Yebo works together with the most talented professional and emerging artists in Eswatini, giving them the opportunity to gain wider domestic and international recognition.   To date Yebo has curated 38 exhibitions working with over 80 artists.   Yebo’s vision for the next five years is to focus on environmental and social challenges, using art as a tool to tackle issues like climate change, women’s rights and youth unemployment.   Yebo is passionate about promoting the fine arts and enabling the growth of Eswatini’s creative economy.”
