At the end of the First World War, the French occupied Adana. After the occupation, some gangs of Armenians who lived in the region or came to Adana by immigration started to torment the Turkish and Muslim people. Tired of this torture, the Turks began to migrate to the Yörük dormitories in the Taurus Mountains. In history, this event is called "Kaç Kaç".
On June 11, 1920, about 150 Turks, including women and children, fell from the pressure on them and headed for the Taurus Mountains. However, they had just arrived around Yeşiloba Train Station, a group of armed Armenian gangs turned their way.
The gangs brought the Turkish people to a farm called Bezdikyan, now known as Kahyaoğlu, that was in the vicinity. They massacred by stabbing a room in the outbuilding of the farm by putting men in one room and women and children in the other room. Then they fled, setting the building on fire. In this massacre, 43 men, 21 women and children died as we could not determine their numbers. 4 men and 18 women survived.
This farm building has been referred to as Yeşiloba martyrdom ever since.
